The Commissioner is also the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (the Ombudsman). The annual Ombudsman’s Report includes a section on her work as Northern Ireland Local Government Commissioner for Standards. This includes an overview of activity in the year and a statistical analysis of the complaints received in that year. It may also include case summaries of adjudication decisions and details of recommendations made by the Commissioner.
