Publication Scheme
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 every public authority is required to adopt and maintain a publication scheme.
The Information Commissioner, who is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, has drawn up a Model Publication Scheme for all public sector organisations. NIPSO has formally adopted the scheme, which is organised into seven classes of information set out below. Please click on the relevant subheadings for further information.

We are committed to making information readily available within the scope of the legislation. If we do not publish the information you need you can make a request for it under the Freedom of Information Act.
You can also ask to see information we hold about you, however the legislation which governs our Office says that our investigations must be conducted in private. This means that any information obtained during an investigation can only be disclosed in very specific circumstances.
