Report recommends review of how the Northern Ireland Housing Executive handles complaints

We upheld a man's complaint about the Housing Executive's failure to deal with his enquiries about emergency accommodation.

Report recommendations

We asked a member of the Housing Executive's senior management team to apologise to the complainant in person for the failure to address his complaint.

Although allowances were made for the Housing Executive to take part in our investigation, it failed to respond to our enquiries or provide any evidence that would have assisted our investigation. We therefore asked it to review how it deals with complaints, and to comment on these failures within one month of the date of the report.
