Decision to remove patient from GP Practice was ‘unfair and disproportionate’

A GP practice removed a woman from its Patient List following a complaint she made about practice staff.

Report recommendations

We asked the Practice to apologise to the complainant and provide training on complaints handling to relevant staff.  We also asked it to send us a list of the complaints it has received over the past two years, highlighting if any resulted in the removal of a patient.
